Apple Watch 8 to offer blood pressure, blood sugar and alcohol levels
In its latest report has The Telegraph stated that the Apple Watch 8 is about to win a major hardware upgrade. It will probably be able to measure your glucose and alcohol content as well as your blood pressure.
The publication found some solid evidence in the SEC (US Securities and Exchange Commission) that Apple uses Rockley Photonics as its main supplier of health tracking sensors. And the CEO of the said company has previously talked about these sensors, indicating that consumer-ready products will start popping up in 2022.
This again coincides with the Apple Watch Series 8 release, so it’s not too far from watching the 8th generation measure blood sugar, blood pressure and alcohol levels. That does not mean, however, that all three sensors make it Apple’s watch, but it does seem possible for now.
