Quick, let’s play a game “which Redmi is this”? Can you name what the top of your head has, what the Redmi Note 10S has for it, which is different from all the other Redmi Note 10 devices? None? Well, it’s the one with the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset, if that helps.

It became available last month in certain markets and will be officially announced for India on 13 May. Now only a few days before it receives the update to MIUI 12.5. Of course, it still runs Android 11, just with the newer skin on top.

MIUI 12.5 was unveiled to international markets in February following a December announcement for the Chinese market, and since then it has slowly begun to find its way into more and more Xiaomi and Redmi devices. The pace is still not very fast, but it should increase over the next few weeks.

The buildings en route to Redmi Note 10S are as follows: 12.5.3.0.RKLEUXM for Europe, 12.5.5.0.RKLMIXM for other global markets and 12.5.2.0.RLLINXM for India. This will either be pre-installed on devices sold in India or presented as a day-one update when you take the phone out of the box.

If you need a quick update, the Redmi Note 10S has a 6.43-inch 1080×2400 AMOLED touch screen, 6/8 GB RAM, 64/128 GB expandable storage, a quad rear camera setup (64 MP head, 8 MP ultra-wide, 2 MP macro, 2 MP depth), a 13 MP selfie snapper and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
