The listing also reveals that the processor has two 2.4GHz ARM Cortex-A78 CPU cores, six ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, and four ARM Mali-G68 CPU cores clocked at 1000MHz.
The processor is also said to be manufactured with a 5nm precision, and it is likely that it was manufactured at Samsung Foundry. The specifications of the Exynos 1280 processor are very similar to the MediaTek processor Dimensity 900These are powerful processors whose gaming performance is closer to the Snapdragon 778G used in the Galaxy A52s 5G. However, the Exynos 1280’s GPU frequency is higher than the Dimensity 900’s 900MHz, so gaming performance could be better.
Since the Galaxy A53 name includes support for 5G network connectivity, the Exynos 1280 is expected to include a 5G modem and several connectivity features such as Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 6, and GPS. Samsung may launch more phones in the middle class that will work with the Exynos 1280 processor.
