The MIUI 12.5 update is still being pushed for Xiaomi smartphones, but the company is already planning the launch of the next version – MIUI 13. According to sources from China, it could be launched in the second quarter, just like any version earlier a few years. This time, the date is apparently set for June 25th.
Xiaomi was known for supporting models that were on the cheaper side of the price range, even though they were four years old. However, MIUI 13 (if it’s the official name) will not be available for flagships like the Xiaomi Mi 9 and Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, as well as popular middlemen like the Redmi Note 8 series and Redmi 8 lineup.
There is some public talk about the possible features of the new user interface. We expect optimized animations, new themes and backgrounds and lots of security improvements.
