The original Angry Birds game is back in the Apple and Google Play Stores after a 3 year absence
Rovio released the popular original Angry Birds game on December 11, 2009 for iOS and debuted on Android in September of the following year. However, the original game was removed from the app stores in 2019 due to game testing reasons.
Now, on the game’s 10th anniversary, the original Angry Birds game is back on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

The game is now back with a new name, Rovio Classics: Angry Birds, and an updated version of the original game soon. Rovio says in a post in the blog Using the updated version could lead to “a more sustainable platform for the game to be played on newer devices, while preserving the original 2012 Angry Birds experience”.

Although it is close to the original game, there are some changes that the new version will have. The game will be available for $0.99 on the App Store and Google Play, instead of being free and supported by ads and in-app purchases like the original version.
Also, “Mighty Eagle” required real money purchases in the original game, but now a simple button can be used to fully compete at a level at no additional cost.

The game is available for download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The game download requires Android 6.0 or later, while the iOS version works on any devices with iOS 13 or later, but it’s not available for installation on macOS.
