The Redmi Note 9 is one of the best selling Redmi devices due to its low price and great features. It comes with a 6.53-inch screen, and a quad-lens rear camera that includes a 48-megapixel main camera and is powered by a Helio G85 processor.


The global version of Redmi Note 9 has not yet received the MIUI 13 update. Today, new news revealed that the internal MIUI testing of the Redmi Note 9 has been suspended. Unfortunately, this phone will not receive the MIUI 14 update.

The internal MIUI update tests for the Redmi Note 9 have stopped!

Redmi launched the Redmi Note 9 in 2020 with MIUI 11 based on Android 10 out of the box. The current version of the device, which has received 2 Android updates and 3 MIUI updates, is V13.0.1.0.SJOCNXM and V13.0.1.0.SJOMIXM.

This model received the stable MIUI 13 update in China but it has not reached the phone users around the world. MIUI 13 ROM update is tested globally and other ROMs. Phones like Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 9 will receive the MIUI 13 update in all regions. However, Redmi Note 9 series devices will not receive the MIUI 14 update.

The internal MIUI tests of the Redmi Note 9 have been suspended indicating that it will not receive the MIUI 14 update. Also, the fact that this series will not be able to get MIUI 14 confirms that phones like Redmi 9 and POCO M2 will not get MIUI 14 either.

Xiaomi is currently developing MIUI 14 for its new flagship devices. Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are tested on the MIUI 14 interface based on the operating system Android 13.

Devices will continue to receive stable updates of MIUI 13 for a certain period of time. Support for the update will later be terminated and it will be added to the Xiaomi EOS list.
