Redesigned AirPods 3 around the corner; AirPods Pro successor to arrive in 2022

0 3
We thought April should be time for something new AirPods, men Apple’s “Spring loaded” event was apparently too loaded to accommodate an even larger release. Then we expected a press release (on, but this did not happen either.

AirPods 3 offers an AirPods Pro-like design

Now according to one Bloomberg report, the AirPods (2nd generation) successor is definitely on its way to a release from 2021. The new AirPods will have an improved ergonomic design similar to the current AirPods Pro. We expect to see shorter stems with knife functionality. Respectively, the case will also change.

Apple’s Beats Buds could show the AirPods Pro 2 design

As far as AirPods Pro is concerned, they are expected to come out no earlier than 2022. AirPods Pro (2nd generation) was scheduled for release this year, but this did not happen. The design is currently unknown, as Apple has tested a smaller version of the AirPods Pro, similar to the recently leaked Beats earplugs.

This design would remove the strain, but we’ll have to wait and see if Apple will get on with it, at least for the AirPods Pro. That movement sensors are also said to be up to date with attention to fitness tracking.

Is AirPods 3 coming to WWDC?

As for the actual release dates, nothing has been confirmed yet. Our only well-educated guess may come from the fact that WWDC – Apple’s (usually) software-focused annual event takes place very soon on June 7th.

Therefore, we will not be surprised if Apple decides to debut the long-awaited AirPods along with other hardware, which has also been rumored for a while (14 & 16-inch MacBook Pro models). Some of Apple’s teaser images for the event include memojis, wearing AirPods and staring at MacBook laptops.

Loss without sound

All of this is nicely related to Apple’s recent announcement of Lossless Audio support on future devices. As we Bluetooth does not allow Lossless Audio transfer on wireless devices, whether it is a pair of AirPods or a HomePod. Therefore, Apple must work on a solution.
Rumors point to AirPlay-backed Lossless Audio, which will still connect via Bluetooth but maintain power through AirPlay. But as we know, current AirPods models do not support Bluetooth at all, which means they cannot connect.

Therefore, it is very likely that Apple will have to equip the new AirPods with Bluetooth if they want to give them Lossless Audio. Whether this will happen, and will it apply to all new AirPods or just the more expensive Pro and Max models – we do not know yet.

AirPods Max 2 is not on the way yet, but new HomePods are

Although we heard rumors of a more budget version of AirPods Max a while ago, at the moment the new AirPods Max is not on the way. This is because Apple had a hard time keeping up with the demand for the product. However, we can see new color settings!

Reportedly, Apple is also working on a HomePod speaker with a built-in screen and a Google Nest Hub-like device that combines the features of a HomePod, FaceTime and Apple TV.
