The Korean company Samsung released the Expert RAW camera app for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra last year 2021.

The company promised that it will also offer support for the app on its older flagship phones. Last week, the updated app was finally released for the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy Zfold2.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra suffers from a new problem

According to SourceWe installed the Expert RAW camera application on my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, and we discovered that the application does not support the telephoto camera on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. On the other hand, the app supports the telephoto camera in the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

The source added, “We are not sure why there is no parity between the two phones even though they have the same processor and ISP, perhaps this is due to the presence of a telephoto camera sensor with a higher resolution (48 megapixels) in the Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, if the app can process data from the phone’s 108MP primary camera, it can definitely work with a 48MP sensor.

We hope that Samsung will update the app to work with the telephoto camera of the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra in the future. Expert RAW lets you adjust ISO, shutter speed, EV, focus, white balance, and metering.

It features multi-frame noise reduction and better dynamic range. You can even edit those photos in the Adobe Lightroom app.

What do you think is the best feature of Expert RAW?
