AirPods and Beats headphones open a new market in countries that are not new to Apple products!
Apple started moving some of its products (iPhones) from China to India in 2020, and is now planning the same with AirPods and Beats headphones.
According to the source Nikkei Apple has already asked suppliers to move production to the South Asian country, with the goal of doubling exports by the end of March 2023.
Shifting AirPods and Beats headphones manufacturing operations to India
Bloomberg reported earlier this week that iPhones manufactured in India and shipped to Europe and the Middle East are worth $1 billion in cost, and with the new move that figure could reach $2.5 billion by March 2023.

Analysts believe that shifting the manufacturing operations of AirPods and Beats headphones to India is a good thing, because it will diversify the manufacturing base, which is currently highly concentrated in China. India will also use this move as a statement that it is a manufacturing force to be reckoned with and may attract other companies to move its production.
