Samsung Galaxy A51 – Galaxy A51 receives a very important update
It’s been two months since the Samsung Galaxy A51 received a firmware update, and it’s time to make a change. Samsung has started rolling out a new update for the Galaxy A51 and is now releasing a new security patch for the 2019 mid-range phone.
And while Samsung has made the October 2022 security patch available for a few devices, the Samsung Galaxy A51 is not among them. Instead, the mid-range phone is now getting the September 2022 security patch. As of this writing, availability is limited to the SM-A515F variant in Russia.
The update carries firmware version A515FXXS5FVI1, and as you may be able to tell the firmware number structure, the update only includes the latest security patch and nothing else.
There are no new features to look forward to. The September update fixes more than two dozen vulnerabilities, including memory access errors in various functions, and a bug that could allow attackers to initiate emergency calls remotely.
The Galaxy A51 5G is one such device that has an Exynos 980 SoC, so be sure to download and install the new firmware update as soon as possible to keep your device at a high level of security.
