Apple iPhone 14 Plus in for review
The Apple iPhone 14 Plus was delayed a few weeks after the 14, 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max all went on sale, so it’s now the last of the 2022 iPhone models to land at headquarters.
The Plus marks Apple’s bet on big over mini and will inevitably divide opinion. Some will love the more affordable large iPhone, others will lament the loss of the truly mini iPhone.
Let’s get back to the affordable business. Despite its lower price, the iPhone 14 Plus comes with the same contents in the box – a cable and a sticker.
Continuing the thread, the iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899/€1,149/£949/INR 89,900, which is $200/€300/£250/INR 50,000 less than the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Those aren’t insignificant savings, but they come at the expense of the new A16 Bionic chip, ProMotion display, new wide-angle camera and telephoto unit overall – certainly worth having, but probably not critical for every buyer out there.
You’re still getting a big-screen iPhone that’s cheaper than last year’s iPhone 13 Pro Max, while getting its main camera and the promise of wonderful battery life.
The iPhone 14 Plus’ upgrades over the vanilla 14 are obvious – a bigger screen and better battery life.
