Xiaomi Redmi K60 series will stick to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, report claims

The Redmi K50 series arrived in March with Mediatek chipsets in vanilla and Pro versions. Ultra finally followed in August with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and reports are that the upcoming Redmi K60 series will have a phone with the 2021 flagship platform from Qualcomm.

According to Digital Chat Stationthe range is already in the design verification testing phase and once the internal design is confirmed as safe, production will follow.

The tipster has a great track record, also said that the alleged phone, which might even be the vanilla Redmi K60, will come with a 2K display, which is how some Chinese mistakenly refer to QHD+ resolution.
