Poco launches its first 5G phone in India this week on June 8 – Poco M3 Pro will be available via Flipkart. The brand obviously has a few other 5G phones, but they have not yet reached the subcontinent.
There is no word on pricing yet, but the Poco M3 starts at INR 11,000. Speaking of vanilla M3, it already has 5 million units according to Flipcart. This is a surprising leap considering that Poco boasted about 3.2 million units shipped (shipped, not sold) just a few weeks ago.
In any case, the Poco X3 Pro is currently discounted to INR 19,000 (down from MSRP of INR 24,000) at Flipchart. This is a 4G-only phone, though the Snapdragon 860 chipset makes it a more advanced device than the M3 Pro.
That is, the price tag on the upcoming Poco M3 Pro will fall somewhere between these two numbers. We have received a review unit, so our detailed review should be out soon.
By the way, the Redmi Note 10 5G is an almost identical device (although there are some important differences), but it is not available in India. In fact, the Xiaomi family has very few 5G models in the country (and all of them high end), which is understandable since the first 5G networks are not yet live. We published our review of Redmi last week if you are curious.
