Three years after launching the Galaxy S Ultra with a 108MP camera, Samsung is finally ready to move to a 200MP camera in its flagship Galaxy S23 series of phones.

Samsung has made several 200-megapixel camera sensors, one of which has already been used by competing manufacturers such as Xiaomi, and next year, the Korean giant is preparing to use this camera in the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The feature the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200MP camera will miss

But just like the Galaxy S21 Ultra or Galaxy S22 Ultra’s 108MP camera, the Galaxy S23 Ultra won’t actually shoot at maximum resolution by default. It is said to take 12.5MP photos using pixel binning (a process that combines multiple small pixels into one large pixel) to improve image quality, especially in low-light conditions.

A 200MP shooting option will also be available, but a new rumor says Samsung won’t offer the ability to take 50MP photos, unlike other competing phones.

if you correct rumorsYou will either be able to take 12.5MP photos in a smaller size while saving space on device storage, or take huge 200MP photos that take up significantly more storage space. Shooting in 108MP mode with the Galaxy S22 Ultra, for example, saves photos that take up 4-5 times more space than the default 12MP shooting mode, so you can just imagine the size of 200MP shots on the Galaxy S23 Ultra .

The 50MP mode will offer a nice balance between image quality and file size, and although companies like Motorola and Xiaomi give you a 50MP mode on their phones, Samsung reportedly won’t.

The company will certainly prove the reason for the presence of a camera with a resolution of 200 megapixels, but all we currently have to do is wait until more leaks or official statements appear, and we will bring them to you as soon as we have them.
