MacBook Pro and Mac Mini .. New details about the processor and launch date revealed in the most important leak so far
Apple recently launched its new iPad Pro 2022 models with the latest Apple M2 processor, along with the 10th generation Apple iPad, and its new Apple TV 4K. And now, the giant company is preparing to launch two advanced MacBook Pro and Mac mini models with the Apple M2 processor.
MacBook Pro details
Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman reports that Apple will unveil macOS Ventura on Monday, October 24. This system will support the new MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches.
According to the leaks, the new MacBook Pro will have M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. However, the analyst does not believe that the two laptops will bring many improvements in other aspects. And that seems to be the main reason why Apple doesn’t host separate events for them.
Mac mini details
As for the Mac mini, Gorman previously said that Apple was working on new models based on the M2 and M2 Pro chips. And now, there are plenty of reasons to be sure that new mini Macs will come along with the Mac Pro.
Reports indicated, that Apple may release a Mac Mini powered by the M2 along with the new MacBook Pro models. However, this year’s Mac Mini may also come with a choice of M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.
MacBook Pro and Mac Mini release date
According to recent reports, the new MacBook Pro and Mac Mini models will be launched in November this year. Gorman noted that in recent years, Apple released new Macs in November several times. It launched its first generation 16-inch MacBook Pro in 2019 and three Mac models equipped with the M1 system in 2020.
The current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with the M1 Pro and M1 Max chipsets were launched in October 2021. They came with an overhauled design and features by adding a “pop”, HDMI, MagSafe, SD card reader, and plenty of other features. .
Apple also last launched a Mac mini base with the M1 chip in November 2020. Currently, the company still sells a more priced Intel version with an optional Core i5 and Core i7 processor.
