Samsung’s new Galaxy Book Go laptops bring Snapdragon chipsets and LTE/5G connectivity

There’s a new pair of cheap Arm-based laptops from Samsung powered by second generation Snapdragon 7c and 8cx platforms. The standard Galaxy Book Go comes in both Wi-Fi and LTE variants, while the 5G model gives you next-generation connectivity on Go.

Both have 14-inch TFT screens with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and 720p webcams. The Go model runs on the second generation of Snapdragon 7c chipsets, while the 5G variant does so with the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 5G platform. You can get either with 4 or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128 GB eUFS storage.

The software front is covered by Windows 10 10 Home / Pro. I / O consists of 2x USB-C ports, a USB 2.0, a headphone input / microphone combination and separate microSD and nano-SIM slots. Both models get 42.3Wh batteries, which Samsung confidently claims can last you a full day of use without the need to recharge. The new ultrabooks come in at 15mm at their thickest point and weigh only 1.4kg.

The only Wi-Fi version of the Galaxy Book go goes on sale for $ 350 and should be available later in June is a single silver color option. Samsung provided no pricing and availability information for the 5G model.
