As we get closer to the supposed launch of Samsung’s next generation of foldable devices, more details about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 are starting to emerge.
Reveal the most prominent specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
The latest leaks now reveal the phone’s chipset and battery capacity, both of which have appeared in two new listings. The first is a Geekbench listing for the Samsung SM-F721U that says the Z Flip4 is powered by the yet to be announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset.
The listing reveals that the chipset is codenamed “Taro” and features a maximum clock speed of 3.19GHz which is a must for Cortex-X2 CPU performance. We can also see an additional triple of cores clocked at 2.75GHz – presumably Cortex-A710s and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510s clocked at 1.8GHz.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 on the list is also equipped with 8GB of RAM and Android 12 operating system. It managed to score 1277 single-core points and 3642 points in the multi-core test.
Besides this, the Z Flip4 has been spotted in 3C’s database revealing an estimated total battery capacity of 3,595mAh. The phone will pack dual battery cells with rated capacities of 2555mAh (part number EB-BF723ABY) and 1,040mAh (EB-BF724ABY) respectively.
Now, it remains to be seen what the typical battery capacity rating is. Regardless of the actual mAh value, a larger battery would be a much welcome addition as the Z Flip3 had little endurance.
