Android 13 update up to the Galaxy S flagship phone without the rest of its three siblings!
In a surprising decision, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite will receive the Android 13 update, while the other three models Galaxy S10 – S10, Galaxy S10 Plus + S10 and Galaxy S10e S10e will not receive the update!.
Back in 2020, I presented Samsung Three generations of Android updates for its premium and select mid-range phones and tablets. For flagship phones, this policy covers the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S20 series, while the Galaxy S21 series and later are eligible for four Android updates.
Thus, the Galaxy 10 Lite is entitled to three upgrades to the operating system, just like the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Plus and Galaxy S10e. But quite the opposite, and unlike the last three models, only the first one will receive the latest Android 13 update with the proprietary One UI 5.0 user interface.
The original Galaxy S10 family of three major models first appeared in early 2019 with Android 9.0 Pie operating system, and on the other hand Galaxy S10 Lite was released in early 2020 with Android 10 operating system.
But they all qualify for three generations of Android updates, as a result of which the inexpensive Galaxy S10 Lite will be able to access the Android 13 update in the coming days.
Android 13 update arrives on the Galaxy S10 Lite
In fact, Samsung has already started firmware testing of the phone, and it looks like there won’t be a public beta program for it.
According to the update schedules shared by Samsung, the device will receive a stable update as early as December in regions such as Germany and Malaysia. The update should be available in other markets in the following weeks.
The Galaxy S10 Lite was one of the best range phones at the time, it has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with FHD + resolution, with powerful performance powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC.
With regard to the cameras: the phone comes with a triple lens rear camera, the first with a resolution of 48 megapixels (with OIS optical stabilization technology), the second lens with a resolution of 12 megapixels (with an ultra-wide angle of view), and the third with a resolution of 5 megapixels (for macro photography), while in the front We find a 32-megapixel selfie camera.
The phone draws its power from a large capacity non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
