Samsung launches new Galaxy A23 5G in Japan with 5.8″ LCD and IP68 rating
The Samsung Galaxy A23 5G was launched earlier this year in the US and Europe. Today, Samsung launched a new version for the Japanese market, which brings a smaller screen, MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset and an IP68 rating.
The Japanese Galaxy A23 5G sports a 5.8-inch TFT LCD display with HD+ resolution and a waterdrop notch for its 5MP selfie camera. There’s a single 50MP main camera on the back, while the side houses a fingerprint scanner that doubles as the power button.
The phone is equipped with MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset and 4GB of RAM, while storage is 64GB, although you can easily expand via the microSD slot. The software side is covered by Android 12 with One UI 4.1, while the battery comes in at 4,000 mAh and supports 15W charging. The phone also comes with a headphone jack, NFC and a Nano-SIM slot.
The Japan-exclusive Samsung Galaxy A23 5G comes in black, red and white colors and retails for JPY 32,800 ($231).
