The Apple Economic Pencil is arousing curiosity after the company retracted its launch next year 2023
Leaks recently mentioned some details about the start of work on the development of the economical Apple Pencil, codenamed “Marker”. However, the development is now said to have been delayed as the company has canceled all plans to launch it currently.
The company may launch the Apple Pencil in September 2023 during its biggest annual event. The pen can come with a USB Type-C charging port, along with a Lightning cable. However, the company has not made any announcements about this product yet.
New details about the Apple Pencil
According to a post on the Chinese website Weibo, the economical Apple Pencil is compatible with the iPhone with support for charging via the USB Type-C port, while the current Apple Pencil is charged via a Lightning cable.

However, Apple has reportedly canceled all of its plans to launch the product, which is said to be launched next year. According to the report, the budget Apple Pencil that it planned to put on sale at $50 was codenamed Marker and might arrive without some features like pressure-sensing technology and a built-in battery.

The company decided to develop a chip that could be used to power the stylus through the connected display, much like the technology seen in Samsung’s S-Pen models.

Apple’s application for a patent supporting the Apple Pencil was previously spotted.Apple Pencilinstalled above the MacBook keyboard. The patent application includes the ability to hold or magnetically secure the pencil when placed in a storage area and to use the pencil as a function key while in the chassis.
