Apple can finally offer the Always On Display feature for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models, among the upcoming improvements to the lock screen from iOS 16.
This news comes from Mark Gorman Mark Gurman From Bloomberg, who suggests that the Always On Display feature will display various information on the locked screen on iPhone 14 Pro models running iOS 16.
Another leak reveals the iPhone 14-series screen design via an announcement from Apple, and we have already seen the design of the iPhone 14 Pro in full brilliance through the offers, and this leak appears to be in line with those offers, however, the launch of the iPhone 14 may be delayed due to the Chinese shutdown affecting the production.
The iPhone 14 series has a better and more expensive selfie camera with autofocus capability, and the Pro models are also expected to come with 120Hz and a satellite connectivity option.
The Always On Display feature on iPhone 14 Pro models
According to Gurman, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a previously unavailable Sparkle Always-Display feature that will display limited information when locked, similar to the Apple Watch Series 5, where Apple will drop the lock screen frame rate to keep energy to provide.
However, it’s not clear if the phone will offer the same LTPO display that Apple ships on the newer Watch models. Using these lower-powered screens can certainly help the always-on feature appear properly without consuming a lot of device power.
Gorman says that the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max running iOS 16 will get this feature, which will be an exclusive feature only for the iPhone 14 Pro.
Moreover, the always-on display can display the time, battery level, and wallpapers with “widget-like capabilities”. As a reminder, the same was said with the iPhone 13 series, but that was not the case then.

In a leaked 15-second video clip for a commercial for Apple Pay, Apple’s YouTube channel Archive Thai revealed the design changes to the iPhone 14 Pro screen, knowing that the clip is one hundred percent unofficial. (Continue the section below).
The previous video reveals a bean-shaped notch and a circular aperture for the camera, which is perfectly in line with the leaked renders and CAD renders that were revealed a while ago. We’ll have to wait for the company to launch the iPhone 14 series to confirm the leaked design changes.
A recent tweet from developer Steve Troton-Smith also surfaced showing that Apple is likely working on a way to allow iOS users to resize app windows, a feature that would be particularly useful on the iPad.
Gorman says he also expects the company to add new social networking-like features within Messages, and the great thing about it is that we won’t have to wait long to see what Apple has planned for iOS 16, as the developer conference is expected to kick off on June 6. June, according to the leaks.
