Xiaomi MIUI 14 interface will surpass MIUI 13 and all previous versions thanks to these awesome features
Xiaomi confirmed the disclosure of the MIUI 14 interface at the launch event of the “Xiaomi 13” series of phones, Xiaomi 13. The conference was supposed to take place on December 1. Unfortunately, it has now been postponed.
Anyway, before the conference, the company showed off some of the interface’s features. Let’s take a look at these features.
A couple of days ago, Xiaomi launched an early access program for MIUI 14. People participating in this initiative will get a chance to experience the new update in front of the general public.
After that, the company has now revealed some of the features of the MIUI 14 interface. It was also revealed that the new version of MIUI is codenamed ‘Project Razor’. Xiaomi says that MIUI 14 aims to offer “minimal firmware, minimal memory usage, and minimal uninstallable apps.”
The head of MIUI had previously teased this, saying that MIUI 14 would be the most streamlined and lightweight mobile system. The company revealed that the firmware on MIUI 14 will take up less storage space.
And to be precise, its memory size has been reduced by 23% compared to the previous generation. Moreover, the Xiaomi interface will allocate memory efficiently. And it will free unnecessary self-start processes from boot memory as much as possible. You will also have strict control over the memory usage of system apps and services.
Hopefully, this doesn’t block notifications from apps. Finally, this version of the interface will allow users to uninstall more system apps than ever before. Apart from Dialer, Contacts, Messages, Settings, Browser, Camera, File Manager and App Store, users will be able to uninstall all other system apps.
This means that one can even uninstall the clock, weather, gallery, and more. And we don’t know how many of these changes will flow into the global version of MIUI 14. We hope that Xiaomi will offer more possible features in all markets.
