Samsung, which is currently a leader in the foldable phone segment, has achieved massive sales of first generation Galaxy Z series devices up to the current Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. However, these devices have not yet been improved and refined to meet their full potential.
Focusing on that, the company is said to be adding a new feature to the screen of its upcoming foldable device that will make multitasking very convenient.
New feature coming to Galaxy Z Fold 4 screen
According to leaker Ice Universe’s tweet via TwitterGalaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 will get a “split screen swipe” option. This feature will likely work similarly to the foldable devices from OPPO, Vivo, and Honor where the user will need to swipe their finger across the device’s midline to activate the split screen mode.

According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have a 7.6-inch AMOLED screen (QXGA+) on the inside, while the external 6.2-inch AMOLED screen will have HD + resolution. Both external and internal monitors will have a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The device will come with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with 12/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage.
It will have a 4400 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. As for the cameras, the device will have a 50-megapixel rear camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12-megapixel camera (supports zoom up to 3x). The inner screen will have an under-display camera of 16 MP and the outer screen will have a hole for a 10 MP selfie camera.
Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 ready for firmware development
As for the specifications of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, it will come with a 6.7-inch sAMOLED screen with FHD + resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 2.1-inch external screen.
The phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 128/256GB of storage. As for the cameras, the smartphone will provide a 12-megapixel camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, while the internal camera will get a 10-megapixel resolution.
It will have a 3,700mAh battery with support for 25W wired charging and 10W wireless charging. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are said to debut on August 10.
