Apple acknowledges iPhone 14 Pro display bug, to fix with a software update
An increasing number of iPhone 14 Pro users are reporting a strange screen issue when booting up or unlocking their devices. Green and yellow horizontal lines appear on the screen, which disappear later during the boot process, so it doesn’t hurt the user experience completely, if at all.
Now, Apple has acknowledged the problem and promised that it will soon release a software update that addresses it. We can expect a fix as part of an upcoming small patch or with iOS 16.3, which is currently being tested by Apple and members of the public beta program.
Notably, Apple’s response is not official and was seen in internal memos by people familiar with the matter. The issue was only reported last month, so Apple is pretty quick with its response. Let’s just hope the next software version fixes it.
