Redmi will launch Watch 3, Band 2, Buds 4 Lite, and new Note 12 Pro Speed on Dec 27
Xiaomi’s brand Redmi, which operates semi-independently in China, is gearing up for its big event tomorrow. The flagship smartphone series Redmi K60 is on the way, and we know it will have at least two very different looks – one with a blue vegan leather back and another designed to look like carbon.
We also expect a flurry of new devices, including two new wearables – Redmi Watch 3 and Redmi Band 2 – as well as new TWS earphones Redmi Buds 4 Lite.
On top of that, we also expect a brand new Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed smartphone that brings a new chipset, camera and appearance with a fancy mint green color.

The Redmi K60 gets a so-called 2K screen, which is 1220p – the middle step between QHD and Full HD. The Xiaomi brand developed an AI algorithm that learns how to provide the best automatic brightness over time. Images also reveal that the panel will be flat, but we don’t know if this applies to the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro or any other phone ready for an announcement.
There’s also a Sony IMX800 sensor in one (or more) of these phones. It is a 50 MP camera that is often seen in premium tier devices and this will be coupled with OIS.
The Redmi Watch 3 will come with a 1.75” AMOLED display, which is almost 15% larger than its predecessor, and it will have 341 ppi and 600 nits of brightness. We can see a single button on the right side, and a teaser revealed a light green strap option.
Redmi Band 2 brings a 1.47” screen with a touch area 76% more than the first Redmi Band. The body is 9.99mm and has no physical keys whatsoever. Then there is the Redmi Buds 4 Lite, also translated as Youth, in green and orange to match the style of its young users. Each bud will weigh only 3.9 grams.

Redmi Note 12 Pro Speed was not mentioned by the company; it was leaked WHY on Weibo. The new phone will keep the overall design with three cameras on a rectangular island and flat sides, but the Redmi logo goes to the top of the back panel.
The phone is expected to retain the overall footprint of the Redmi 12 Pro series, but will replace the Dimensity 1080 with a Snapdragon 778G chipset. 108MP is also expected to be gone for a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor. It is expected to be priced below CNY1,699, which is the current price of a regular Redmi Note 12 Pro.
