A new report revealed that Apple is working on a new version of the iPad, which will come at a cheap price, in addition to revealing the expected launch date of the device.
Apple and the new version of the iPad
According to the site 9to5Mac The company is working on an entry-level iPad, which is expected to retail at $329, which will be a reasonable price for users.
For this reason, Apple has chosen to keep this device in exactly the same design as the older iPad models, but the device has some drawbacks such as having a Lightning port instead of USB-C.
The report indicates that the new device will have a Retina display with the same resolution as the iPad Air, as the current 9th generation iPad has a 10.2-inch LCD screen.
The screen is expected to come in a larger size of 10.5 inches or even 10.9 inches, but more modern features in the screen such as wide color gamut with DCI-P3 and higher brightness will remain exclusive to more expensive iPads.
Apple is also rumored to introduce new iPad Pro models later this year, as the next generation iPad Pro will be equipped with an M2 processor, and may feature wireless charging via a MagSafe charger.
As for the new entry-level iPad, it should also be introduced sometime later this year. In recent years, Apple has announced new entry-level iPads alongside the new iPhones.
