Today, the latest leaks revealed through the “WeiboThe Chinese reported that Huawei is developing HarmonyOS 4 and it could be the flagship version for Huawei devices at launch.
The improvements that HarmonyOS 4 will bring
According to the information, HarmonyOS 4 will come with major design changes and new features that will improve the user experience. Meanwhile, the leak reveals the HarmonyOS 3.1 update that could debut with the Huawei P60 series, and could be considered an improved version of the HarmonyOS 3.0 update.

It is reported that Huawei launched the HarmonyOS 3 update at the developer conference in 2021 and began testing the developer preview. On the other hand, the company launched the update in July 2022 for smartphones. At the Developers Conference (HDC 2022), Huawei did not release the HarmonyOS 4 update, but it revealed many services along with the HarmonyOS 3.1 update.
It seems that Huawei has decided to roll out two versions of the operating system among consumers. One would be a major upgrade and the second would be a major one. Therefore, HarmonyOS 3.1 can be seen in the Huawei P60 series and HarmonyOS 4 in the Huawei Mate 60 series, which is scheduled to be launched in the second half of this year.
