Samsung has finally shared an official launch date for its long-rumored Galaxy XCover6 Pro rugged smartphone. The device will be launched on July 13 at an invitation-only online event and will be joined by the rugged Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro tablet.
The XCover6 Pro would be the first rugged Galaxy smartphone in a while and will offer a removable battery for quick replacements on the go. Based on leaked reproductions, the Galaxy XCover6 Pro will bring a typical XCover series phone design with a hardened plastic shell with an IP68 rating.
The phone is said to carry a 6.56-inch screen with a waterfall screen, Snapdragon 778G chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and a 50 MP primary camera along with an unspecified secondary module. The leaks also mention a battery capacity of 4,500 mAh.
We do not have much information about the tablet right now, but the teasers show a robust body and active stylus support. We do not expect the tablet to carry a removable battery.
