Yesterday, Samsung announced its new Samsung Galaxy S23 series of phones, which come with many great features and reach the user with the new Android 13 operating system and a new version of One UI.
Phones may receive the Android 14 operating system before the end of the year as soon as Google launches it, but how many firmware updates will the Galaxy S23 phones get?
Not only does the company usually provide firmware updates ahead of other phone makers, including Google, but it also expanded its support policy for specific models to get four OS upgrades.
The all-new Galaxy S23 series follows this policy, which means that the three flagship 2023 series phones will eventually receive four major OS upgrades up to Android 17 in 2026.

Support for the Galaxy S23 series will not end in 2026. The three flagship phones receive security patches for five years after launch, which means Samsung will support these phones until at least 2028.

They certainly won’t receive any major updates once they get Android 17, presumably in late 2026/early 2027, but support for security patches will continue for a while after that.
Samsung’s new Galaxy S23 series phones operate with One UI 5.1 interface at launch. This updated version improves One UI 5.0 in several ways across different areas, including camera apps, gallery, augmented reality, tools, modes (also known as modes and routines), Samsung DeX, calling features, and more.
It is worth noting that the Galaxy S23 series brings many great improvements and features that include faster storage and RAM, a Snapdragon processor no matter where you are in the world, the first 200MP ISOCELL sensor for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, better low-light photography, And a brighter screen for the regular version Galaxy S23and an updated exterior design.
