Samsung announces Galaxy S23 prices, launch bundles in India

Samsung launched the Galaxy S23 series yesterday, but it is only now that the Indian division published the detailed prices for the Asian country. And that brings good news and bad news.

The bad news is that all versions saw a price increase compared to the Galaxy S22 series. That’s a relatively paltry INR2,000 on the vanilla S22, a more substantial INR10,000 on the Galaxy S22+ and a rather substantial INR15,000 on the Ultra.

The good news is that the Plus and Ultra models come with increased 256GB of storage on those base versions, so unless you were planning on getting a 128GB device, the difference isn’t huge. India too gets 12GB of RAM on the 256GB Ultra, which is a nice perk.

Here is the detailed breakdown:

India (all prices in INR)
Galaxy S23 Galaxy S23+ Galaxy S23 Ultra
8/128GB 74,999
8/256GB 79,999 94,999
8/512GB 104,999
12/256 GB 124,999
12/512GB 134,999
12GB/1TB 154,999

The Galaxy S23 comes in four colors – black, cream, green and lavender. The Galaxy S23+ only gets the Black and Cream option, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra gets them all, including four exclusive to Samsung.com – Red, Graphite, Lime and Sky Blue, but they’re only for the 256GB version.

Additionally, Samsung India is offering pre-order packs for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. For just INR 4,999 extra, the company is throwing in a Galaxy Watch4 Classic LTE and Buds Pro 2, a 25W adapter and a Solo wireless charging pad.

The Galaxy S23+ can be paired with a Bluetooth-only Watch4 for INR4,999, while the S23 buyers can get the wearable for just INR2,999.

If you trade in your old smartphone, Samsung will drop the price even further by somewhere between INR8,000 and INR60,000, depending on the device.
