A couple of months ago, the affordable Redmi 12C phone appeared in China. Now, there are rumors that the device may soon be launched in the global markets. Before any official announcements, the phone appeared on BIS & NBTC certification sites. And starting from the NBTC listing, the certification shows the Redmi 12C’s model number, which is 22120RN86G, and its name, without providing additional information.
The Redmi device with model number 22120RN86G has also been spotted on the BIS website. However, the BIS listing does not provide any information about the specifications or features of the device. Let’s recall the specifications of the Chinese Redmi 12C variant to get an idea of what to expect from the global model.
Redmi 12C specifications
According for the companyRedmi 12C features a 6.71-inch screen with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels and a maximum screen brightness of 500 nits.
The device has a built-in 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging support, comes with pre-installed MIUI 13, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It has a 50MP ultra-clear dual rear camera module that supports HDR photography and night mode. The front camera comes inside a 5-megapixel notch, supports face recognition, and gesture photography.
In addition, the new device has an integrated MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor with a maximum frequency of 2.0GHz, Mali-G52 MP2 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
