Samsung Galaxy S23+ in for review
Having already welcomed the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra to our office, it’s now time to complete the set with the Galaxy S23+. As we pass the phone on to our review team, we thought we’d share a look at the middle member of the S23 family.
Aside from a redesigned camera bump, updated Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a modest bump in battery capacity, the Galaxy S23+ follows the formula of its predecessor. Without the contoured camera island, the back feels more minimalist – even basic. But even though we have the exact same camera setup, we hope to see an upgrade to image quality made possible by the new chip and its more advanced processing.
The other thing that’s new is the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 jacket that all three S23 models are wrapped in – the days of plastic backs are long gone now.
Meanwhile, the 6.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10+, with Full HD+ resolution – all familiar specs.
We expect to see better performance and a solid improvement in battery life.
We’re doing our usual rounds of testing and analysis on the Galaxy S23+ so we can tell you if it’s a worthy purchase.
