Samsung last week released the Galaxy S23 series, all of which feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets. The Korean manufacturer did not launch its own Exynos platform for the flagships, but it is still working on one, according to the latest rumors.

The ice universe, known for their accurate information on Samsung products, revealed that there is an Exynos 2400 in the pipelines. The chipset’s CPU will move on from the octa-core architecture and will have 10 cores – 1x Cortex-X4 + 2x Cortex-A720 (higher frequency) + 3x Cortex-A720 (lower frequency) + 4x Cortex-520.

There’s no information on which smartphone this eventual chipset might power — the foldables that usually launch in the summer have used Qualcomm chipsets since their inception. Considering how the Exynos 2100 arrived in 2021 for the S21 series and the Exynos 2200 followed suit a year later, it’s reasonable to expect the Exynos 2400 in twelve months for the Galaxy S24 series.
