Samsung Galaxy S23 series get record-smashing pre-orders in South Korea
Samsung opened the Galaxy S23 pre-orders after the serial launch, and consumer interest has been high in South Korea. According to local sources, there were 1.09 million pre-orders, over 7% more than the Galaxy S22 last year.
That’s the highest number of pre-orders ever for a Galaxy S series in the Asian country, with only the Galaxy Note10 family seeing a higher number, with nearly 1.4 million remaining as of August 2019.
Korean media reveals that 60% of all orders were placed for the Galaxy S23 Ultra model. The vanilla Galaxy S23 accounted for 24%, while the Galaxy S23+ got the smallest share, which is around 15%.
In comparison, Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 pre-orders last summer failed to pass the 1 million threshold.
