Last month Isunivers tweeted that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 will have a less pronounced folder compared to its predecessor. Now the doctor has photographic evidence – a side-by-side comparison image from the same angle.
The fold on the upcoming foldable flagship actually seems more shallow. That said, it’s not clear how big the difference will be in real life scenarios.
According to leaks, Samsung has adjusted the image format on the internal screen of the Z Fold4 – it gets wider and shorter, giving it a 6: 5 image format (against 6.2: 5 on the current model). The cover screen also gets shorter, 23: 9 aspect ratio (compared to 24.5: 9).

Leaky images suggest a redesigned hinge, which is what will improve the curling situation. The rumored Super UTG material may also have helped. Aside from screen changes, the Galaxy Z Fold4 will improve the cameras (50 MP head, 12 MP 3x telephoto, 12 MP ultra wide), a new chipset (Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1) and some iterative improvements.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 are expected to be unveiled on August 10 (probably with the next generation Galaxy Watches).
