Samsung Galaxy S23 FE rumored to launch in H2 2023
Samsung decided to skip the Galaxy S22 FE last year due to persistent chip shortages and increased demand for its flagship Galaxy S22 Ultra. A new report from the South Korean news media Elec suggests that the Fan Edition series will return in 2023 with the Galaxy S23 FE launching around the August/September period.
The Galaxy FE series gained popularity with the Galaxy S20 FE back in 2020 with over 10 million shipments that year alone. It’s hard to follow up on such a well-received device, and the Galaxy S21 FE didn’t fare so well, prompting Samsung to rethink its FE releases going forward.
Based on the new report, Samsung will skip the Galaxy A74 and instead focus on launching the S23 FE in more markets. Samsung is trying to reshape its Galaxy A series, and the A7 series is likely to be cut down. The upcoming FE phone will launch with either Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy or 2022’s top dog Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
