Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE fan edition in late January. Unlike the previous generation Galaxy S20 FE, which was launched in two different models, the Galaxy S21 FE was launched with only one version that features support for 5G networks with the Snapdragon 888 Soc processor.
But recently, some leaks mentioned that the company is working on a cheaper version which is the Galaxy S21 FE 4G phone with model number SM-G990B2.
However, it seems that these leaks are not true and there is no Galaxy S21 FE 4G version as the same model number was spotted in the list of supported devices by the Google Play platform as a 5G device and not 4G.
Surprise about the next release Galaxy S21 FE 4G
Previously, rumors suggested that Samsung was planning to surprise us with a 4G model of the Galaxy S21 FE, and the phone was said to have the model number SM-G990B2. It has also been reported that the said phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 720G SoC. However, a new leak revealed that the phone appeared with the name “Samsung S21 FE 5G” in the list of supported devices Google Play.
This means that there is no 4G model of the Galaxy S21 FE. However, the company may launch the phone with model number SM-G990B2 with Snapdragon 720G SoC to maintain its position in the mid-range category.
It is reported that the Snapdragon 720 Soc processor has been used in some mid-range phones such as the Galaxy A52, and also in a large number of Redmi phones.
