Here’s the iPhone 15 Pro in its hero dark red color
For devices that aren’t supposed to come out until September, which is more than half a year away still at this point, the next iPhones sure enjoy being leaked. Earlier today we saw some CAD renders of the iPhone 15, following on from the other renders from last week, and today we have another rendered image for you to look at.
This is the iPhone 15 Pro, rendered in what is now rumored to be its hero color. It is a very dark red with a hex color code of #410D0D. Note that this render of the phone is only meant to show the exact shade that Apple plans to use to make its Pro and Pro Max devices stand out this year.
Previously, the Pro line’s exclusive hero color was Pacific Blue for the iPhone 12 generation, Sierra Blue for the iPhone 13 generation, and special iterations of Space Black and Deep Purple for the current iPhone 14 generation. Later this year, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will be available in this exclusive dark red version, which Apple’s marketing department will surely call something exciting.
Of course, for the vanilla iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, Apple will offer pink (hex code #CE3B6C) and light blue (#0DB1E2) options. The usual note/caveat applies here: This is just an unconfirmed rumor, and even if Apple is thinking about using one or more of these colors right now, some may still not make the cut when the next-gen iPhones start mass production.
Remember, Apple was working on a gold iPhone X back then, but it was never released, even though it came close enough to pass the FCC certification process.
