Samsung Galaxy Watch4 certified in FCC listing
Based on some recent rumors, Samsung looks set to release its Galaxy Watch4 series on August 11 ahead of the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Z Flip3 launch event on August 27. Now, both LTE and Wi-Fi versions of the upcoming Galaxy Watch are appearing on the FCC database revealing some key specifications.
Galaxy Watch4 LTE version certification
The only Wi-Fi model goes by the model number SM-R880, while the LTE version is listed as SM-885U. Both portable devices have dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity, NFC, GNSS locations and Bluetooth connectivity. The documents reveal an audio playback function from the internal memory. Both models support wireless charging at 5W
Galaxy Watch4 only Wi-Fi version certifications
The software side is expected to be covered by the revised Google Wear OS with OneUI at the top instead of Samsung’s old Tizen OS. Samsung is likely to specify its new watch operating system on June 28 during the MWC 2021. The Galaxy Watch4 should be available in sizes 42mm and 46mm, while the Active4 watch should arrive with 40 and 42mm cases.
