Xiaomi is currently working on the successor to the Xiaomi 12 series phones. Although we haven’t seen the Xiaomi 12 Ultra yet, there is already speculation about the launch of the Xiaomi 13. According to a recent report from China, the second generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will appear in November.
This means that the chip will arrive a month earlier than in previous years. Reports also claim that Qualcomm’s second-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is based on precision manufacturing from TSMC and adopts a new octa-core “1 + 2 + 2 + 3” architecture. Compared to the “1 + 3 + 4” architecture in the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the former has a very large core and a small core missing.

Also, one super core has been upgraded to ARM Cortex X3, and two super cores have been upgraded to Cortex A720. This chip also houses two large Cortex A710 cores while the GPU is being upgraded to Adreno 740. There is no doubt that this will be the most powerful mobile chip in Android phones to date.
