Poco X5 launches in India on March 14

At the beginning of last month, the Poco X5 went official along with the Poco X5 Pro for global markets, but strangely, only the latter has made it to India so far. However, that is finally changing in the near future.

The ‘Vanilla’ Poco X5 is set to join its Pro sibling in the Indian market starting March 14, which is when it will launch over there. The news was revealed today by Poco’s Indian arm, so it’s as official as it gets.

The month-long delay is no doubt strange, but it’s almost over now. The launch will take place on Tuesday at 12 noon local time on Flipkart.

The Poco X5 comes with a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED touchscreen, Snapdragon 695 SoC at the helm, 6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB expandable storage, a triple rear camera setup (48MP main, 8MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro), a 13 MP selfie snapper and a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W wired charging. It runs Android 12, disappointing in this day and age, with MIUI 13 on top.
