Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra Enterprise Edition launch in Australia
Samsung has released an Enterprise Edition of the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Ultra in Australia. These are the exact same hardware as the regular S23 models, but have more advanced business tools built in. Unlike last year, the Plus model is not part of the Enterprise Edition range.
The enterprise features include a 1-year subscription to Samsung Knox Suite. This has built-in protection against malware, hacking and other cyber security threats. It also allows the company’s IT department to remotely control a fleet of phones.
The Galaxy S23 Enterprise Edition also comes with Microsoft and Google cloud productivity tools pre-installed (note: editing Microsoft Office documents still requires a license).
Samsung will keep the two Enterprise Edition phones available for 2 years after launch, and it will provide critical OS updates and security patches for up to 5 years.
There’s no word on pricing, but these will be acquired through bulk orders, and each company will likely negotiate its own deal.
“Businesses need devices that are not only powerful and secure, but also easy to use and manage,” said Garry McGregor, Vice President, Mobile Experience Division, Samsung Electronics Australia.
