Samsung has updated its Expert RAW app, bringing Astrophoto mode to the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold4. It allows the phones’ users to take long-exposure pictures of stars and constellations, but the quality of the pictures depends on how clear the sky is and the amount of pollution you have in your area.

Astrophoto mode is available for the Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Galaxy S21 trio with version of Expert RAW, which can be downloaded from Samsung’s Galaxy Store. However, S21 series users must first install the April 2023 security update to use Astrophoto mode. And if they haven’t received the update yet, they can check for it manually by navigating to their phones Settings > Software update menu.
