Back in February, Xiaomi announced the international rollout of MIUI 12.5, the latest version of its Android skin, which was originally unveiled in December in China. Since then, we have seen a steady, if slow, flow of updates on the way to various devices in international markets.
Across Europe, the Mi 11 got MIUI 12.5 last month, and now it’s finally time for the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro to receive the new software as well. They should have gotten it in May too, but for some reason the rollout was delayed.
In any case, it’s here now, so if you’ve bought a Mi 10T or Mi 10T Pro somewhere in the EU, know that the wait within the next few days or weeks will be over and you’ll see magic update message.
The new build is marked 12.5.1.0.RJDEUXM, it is of course based on Android 11 and comes in at just over 3 GB.
MIUI 12.5 promises to speed up any device with custom model adjustments and provides instant response to movement and “20 times more reproducing power”. MIUI also boasts that it has become lighter, faster and more durable (whatever that means). In addition, there is a brand new Notes app built-in with lots of functionality such as mind maps, doodling, sketching, dynamic layouts and excerpts.
