Xiaomi and Reliance Jio teamed up to test the upcoming Redmi K50i on the operator’s 5G network ahead of the July 20 launch. The Redmi K50i will boast a total of twelve 5G bands – namely the n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28a, n38, n40, n41, n77 and n78 bands. The phone successfully passed several real-world tests such as streaming 4K content and cloud games. Xiaomi also confirmed that the phone will arrive with a 144Hz refresh rate screen.
The Redmi K50i is expected to be a rebranded Redmi Note 11T Pro +, so we know what else to expect in terms of specifications. Xiaomi India has already confirmed that it will be equipped with the Dimensity 8100 chipset.
We also got to see a 64MP main camera along with an 8MP ultra wide shooter and 2MP macro module and a 16MP selfie camera. The battery should come in at 4,400 mAh with support for 120W wired fast charging.
In related news, the Redmi K50i will be joined by Redmi Buds 3 Lite wireless headphones. These will have 6mm dynamic drivers, Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, up to 18 hours of playing time and IP54 splash resistance.
