The Chinese company, Xiaomi, launched its series of phones called “Xiaomi 12S” just a few weeks ago, and rumors are now circulating about the “Xiaomi 13” series of phones.
Previous leaks indicated that Xiaomi’s next-generation series may debut in November and will be equipped with a chipset from Qualcomm’s yet to be released Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Today, a source revealed that the Xiaomi 13 series will be equipped with a 100W single-cell battery powered by the company’s self-developed charging chipset. The device is also designed to support 50W fast wireless charging.
Tipster Digital’s chat station revealed some interesting details about the upcoming Xiaomi series. Earlier, he shed light on the series processor and launch date. Today, it was revealed that Xiaomi will use a 100W single-cell battery in the series. The battery will be accompanied by the internal charging chips from Xiaomi.
The charging chip used in the Xiaomi 13 series is likely to be an upgraded version of the Surge P1 – the company’s first-generation charging chip used in the Xiaomi 12 series. The Surge P1 was used for more efficient power management. And the chip can reduce heat loss by up to 30%.
The tipster also revealed that the Xiaomi 13 series will support up to 50W of fast wireless charging which is the same as the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.
According to previous reports, the upcoming series will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor (not yet released). Also, it is rumored that there will be no MediaTek Dimensity variants like this year. And the Xiaomi 13 series is likely to have a 2K HD display that supports a refresh rate of 120Hz.
The series is expected to include two devices – Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro. It may be launched in November this year. We hope to know more details about the upcoming series in the coming days.
