Today, Apple releases a new update to its qualified smartphones and tablets in the form of iOS 15.6 and iPadOS 15.6. This may very well be among the last, or that last update that the 15.x branch will see when iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 are due for release in September.
While we wait for it, let’s see what 15.6 has in store for your iPhones and iPads. First, there are a lot of bug fixes, including an issue that caused settings to continue to say the inventory is full, even when it was no more, an issue that caused braille devices to slow down or stop to respond when navigating in text Mail and a problem in Safari that caused tabs to automatically return to a previous page.
Apart from these, there is also a new feature built into the TV app: the ability to restart a live sports game that is already running and pause it, rewind or fast forward it.
Both iOS 15.6 on iPhones and iPadOS 15.6 on iPads should be easily accessible for download and installation already via the Settings app.
