Telephoto camera (zoom in/out) is one of the best features that attract customers to buy “Ultra” phones from Samsung. The Galaxy S22 Ultra features a telephoto camera that provides up to 10x optical zoom, but will the upcoming Galaxy S23 Ultra get more improvements to this particular camera?
New details about the telephoto camera in the Galaxy S23 Ultra
reveal a report New that Samsung will stick with a 10MP telephoto camera and 10x optical zoom support for the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Expectations indicate that the basic specifications of the Galaxy S23 Ultra telephoto camera will be the same as the Galaxy S22 Ultra. It’s possible that Samsung could improve the sensor in other ways with better cameras, but the resolution and maximum optical zoom will still be at 10MP and 10x respectively.
Since these models feature another telephoto camera, it is not yet clear what the details of the second zoom sensor will be. It will probably stay with 10MP and up to 3x optical zoom as well. A recent report indicates that the regular Galaxy S23 will feature this camera.

Since the entire Galaxy S22 series has this sensor, it is assumed that this will be the second telephoto sensor of the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
