The Always-on Display (AOD) feature in iPhone 14 phones has a lot of secrets. It was recently revealed new wallpapers dedicated to this feature while searching in iOS 16, as this feature can automatically go to standby mode, blurring the image to take out various UI widgets.
How do wallpapers adapt to iPhone 14 Pro’s permanent screen feature?
Leaks several months ago revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro will provide the permanent screen feature, as this new feature will be enabled for the first time by using the LTPO screen capable of moving from a refresh rate of 1 Hz to 120 Hz depending on the content displayed on the screen. The feature will allow a certain amount of information to be displayed on the lock screen such as weather information.
According to sourceThere are many new wallpapers in iOS 16; Which is slightly different from the familiar wallpapers on iPhone phones. In fact, these wallpapers are not static, but they adapt to the state in which the phone is. In other words, the image automatically darkens when the Always On Display feature is activated, in order to better highlight the information on it.
Thus, the iPhone 14 Pro will mimic the behavior of the Apple Watch, which already offers this feature. Once the user locks the screen, the wallpaper automatically switches to the standby mode, making the image appear visually on the phone. Of course, once the phone is unlocked, the wallpaper returns to its usual brightness level without user intervention.
