It has long been rumored that Apple intends to release the iPad 2022 this year with some updates in the specifications as well as the use of a USB-C port instead of Lightning.
iPad 2022 specifications
Today appeared 3D CAD images and renderings that showed us the look and design of a device The new iPad The next one from Apple, which appears from the crescent of the new USB-C port.
The images reveal the rear camera unit that comes with a single lens with a flash light, and in the interface is the front camera at the top edge and the iPad has a fingerprint sensor in the home button.
The leaks indicate that Apple will support the device with a screen size of 10.5 or 10.9 inches instead of 10.2 in the current generation iPad 2021, and it is also said that the device will come with an A14 processor that is faster and better than the A13 that the current generation of iPad works with.
Unfortunately, this does not show the port status at all, as there is a red mark on the port slot. The renders show a camera island on the back with a single sensor and LED flash, as well as the front layout from the previous model, with the camera on the top edge and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor built into the home button on the bottom edge. Those bezels are still large, despite a rumor of a switch to a 10.5-inch or 10.9-inch screen, up from the current 10.2-inch.
And if these new renderings of the device are accurate, its dimensions will be 248.62 x 179.5 x 6.98 mm, which means it will be shorter, wider and thinner than the current model.
It is possible that the iPad 2022 will be unveiled next September at the Apple event dedicated to the announcement of the iPhone 14 devices.
